From its rich fossil evidence this stretch of England's coastline has obviously always been home to a wide range of life forms for millennia and today's species list is just as dramatic. Plants, reptiles, birds mammals and invertebrates all play a role in the balance of nature here and we have tried to highlight as many of them as we can, often in extreme close-up.
