Season 2017 Talks and Lectures

What will we bring with us?

Absolutely everything . At the same time if you have a couple of spare display tables that will save us from having to unload ours. Other than that all we ask is a power socket, a cup of tea and some smiling faces!

Our Equipment

We have a full set of digital presentation equipment including screens, projectors and sound systems and can offer fully illustrated talks on a wide range of Natural History subjects. Our equipment is such that we can cope with venues from a small clubhouse to a cinema or large school hall. In the event that your venue is equipped with presentational facilities we are happy to use in-house screens providing they are large enough and suit our projection format. For all other hardware, software and cabling we prefer to use our own. Please do not be offended if we decline the offer to use your in-house units. It is nothing personal - rather that we have trained our units to talk to one another in the same language without arguing and it avoids problems such as computer incompatibilities and sound system feedbacks.

Talk Coverage

I travel extensively and have comprehensive cover of a wide range of subjects from Britain and Europe and many other of the World's wild places. The range of talks has been structured to suit General Interest Groups, Specific Interest Groups, Wildlife and Conservation Societies as well as Social Groups who require Speakers.

 Talk Season

I am normally travelling in the Spring/Summer season and so limit my talks to the period from 1st Oct to 31st March. That said I am happy to take short term bookings during the summer if I am here and a quick email will ascertain my availability. ( Whilst I am quite happy to take phone enquiries my travel schedule often means I cannot take your call or access my voicemail easily. If you are phoning and cannot get through to me first time round then please contact me by Snailmail or Email and your enquiry will be dealt with as promptly as possible as I have someone to monitor these communications in my absence.)

Wildlife and Photographic

Talk Price Guide.

Our  Wildlife and Photographic Talks pricelist comprises a "Talk fee", plus normal travel expenses. These consist of a mileage charge only (33P per mile at current fuel prices - Oct '12) for distances of up to 50 miles from Bournemouth. In excess of 50 miles we will require mileage plus the cost of a "motorway type" snack-meal for two and for some evening venues in excess of 100 miles we will possibly also require overnight accommodation for two in either a twin or two singles. Your details can be confirmed at time of booking.

The constantly changing production costs and associated expenses of our very wide range of presentations, coupled with frequently extensive forward booking periods, prevents us from being able to issue a long-term pricelist and has given rise to a degree of variation in the "talk fees" applied to the various talk sections listed below. These fees will, however, be quoted and guaranteed for twelve months at, and from, time of booking although we reserve the right to amend mileage rates in the event of any significant rise in fuel costs.

A quick email will ascertain the latest situation and our best "guesstimate" of an overall price for forward bookings if required.

There is no great urgency for deciding talk content as this can usually be changed or confirmed up to one month prior to reservation date. To avoid disappointment, however, please secure a booking for your proposed date as soon as possible as we are already committing to dates some two years hence.

Whilst we still have a number of older, lower resolution Talks that we can offer (details on request) to groups working on a very tight budget, all our currently listed Talks are presented in Full HD, 16:9 Widescreen Format on a variety of screen sizes to suit your venue and anticipated audience size. Whilst we can offer, by special arrangement, a number of presentations of a very specific nature and subject content, nevertheless all our listed "Titled Talks" have been structured to suit audiences of mixed levels of Wildlife interest and will hopefully include "something for everyone". If yours is a specific, as opposed to a general interest group, then clicking on the relevant section below will provide an information pop-up as to the suitability of the various talks for your type of group.

All talks are all presented in Full HD 16:9 Widescreen Format.
